Kimbro Kaserne, Murnau (Source: Wolfgang Ott) I took these photos in the autumn of 1965. In the first photo, a CH-34 is taking off from the parade ground at Kimbro Barracks. Under the front of the helicopter you can see the backstop at home plate of the baseball field. The baseball field was located at the southeast corner of the parade ground. The bottom photo shows a German Heeresflieger (Army Aviation) helicopter hovering over the roof of the main building of the Engineer School. This was during a resue mission where a person was stuck on the roof. I do not know why the person was on the roof in the first pace.
